ipd Introduces New Versions of NetSight Machine Vision Systems For Compatibility With Wider Range of Cameras

BILLERICA, MA (July 8, 2003) - ipd, the intelligent products division of Coreco Imaging, Inc., announces new versions of its popular NetSight fully integrated machine vision systems that support the industry's most advanced cameras. The newest versions of the NetSight family support a range of Camera Link(TM)-compatible digital cameras, as well as double-speed, progressive scan and variable scan cameras.

"With the addition of these new versions, the NetSight line offers manufacturing end users and systems integrators a complete range of camera options to better address their need for high-speed, flexible and easy-to-use machine vision solutions," said Steve Geraghty, Director of ipd.

The NetSight PCL supports all Base cameras conforming to the Camera Link digital interface specification. Using a high-speed serial protocol for data transmission, Camera Link reduces wiring, provides a cost-effective cabling solution for digital cameras and offers users flexibility in camera selection. The NetSight PCP system supports up to two double-speed or megapixel analog cameras. This allows users to capture and process higher resolution images or simply process standard images in half the time, thus doubling inspection rates. The previously released NetSight PCV supports up to four standard format analog camera inputs. Building on the extensive experience of parent company Coreco Imaging in providing camera interfaces to the machine vision market, all versions of NetSight ensure rapid image acquisition, transfer and processing in general-purpose machine vision applications.

ipd's pre-integrated NetSight systems combine a powerful processing engine with a high-performance camera interface, flexible software tools and industrial communications within a small, robust package. To shorten the user's development time, NetSight ships with ipd's Sherlock software environment. This easy-to-use graphical interface enables even non-programmers to quickly develop vision applications. And, for integrators designing custom software interfaces, NetSight also provides an extensive library of machine vision and pattern-matching tools. The systems are wired with industrial interface controls, including I/Os, trigger, illumination control, Ethernet and serial ports.

Pricing for NetSight integrated machine vision systems is $4,995. More information about ipd and its product offerings can be found on the company's web site, www.goipd.com.
