The new X-Life Ultra Bearing design combines rings made from Cronidur 30 - a special low nitrogen steel originally developed by Barden for use in critical aerospace applications - and ceramic (silicon nitride) balls with a phenolic cage, a high-speed, thermally stable grease and integral seal options.
X-life Ultra bearings are specifically designed to meet the speed, load and reliability requirements of today's high speed machining centers. Available both in standard and application-specific (i.e. custom) sizes, X-life Ultra Bearings can provide substantial savings to both machine tool manufacturers and end users.
X-life Ultra Bearings are thought to be the most advanced bearing design on the market in terms of loadability and speedability. They are available for use in precision machine tool applications in bore diameters from 20 mm to 120 mm.
