Roku-Roku's New Mid-Sized HC-548EX Delivers Full-Sized Results
Wood Dale, IL - MC Machinery Systems, Inc. and Roku-Roku introduce the HC-548EX, the new mid-sized Super Hybrid machine, which fits in between the HC-435 and the HC-658. The new Roku-Roku is the right size at the right price for today's marketplace, providing the perfect solution to hard-milling and electrode making needs. The new machine construction is typical Roku-Roku design with a three point leveling base casting, monoblock riser and bridge casting.
The HC-548EX upholds Roku-Roku's reputation for speed with its 200-32,000 rpm integral motor spindle equipped with HSK-E40 tooling and industry leading Fanuc 16iMB series control. Fanuc's Digital Intelligent Servo System, AI Nano HPCC, has five-place decimal input and feedback technology. Smooth interpolation of the Super PCIII function allows this machine to rapid at 1,200 inches per minute.
HC-548EX covers a working travel of (X)18.1" x (Y)14.1" x (Z)10.2" with a hand-scraped 23.6" x 14.1" work table. All this capability fits into a footprint of 79" x 110". Although the new machine is compact at 60 square feet, it weighs in at 8,830 lbs. with every mating casting hand-scraped for a perfect fit.
This mid-sized machine uses a fully-closed, dual feed back with Heidenhain linear scales on the x, y and z axis. High servo gain with linear scale accuracy provides the best of both worlds - speed and accuracy.
