Ensinger TECANAT Machine Grade Polycarbonate Offers Water Clear Clarity
Ensinger TECANAT machine grade polycarbonate, made from SABIC Lexan® resin, offers water clear clarity. Most other machine grade polycarbonate is provided with an unappealing blue tint that decreases visibility. With a light transmission index of 88, TECANAT is popular with engineers who are designing for applications requiring translucency. Typical applications include: filter bowls and reservoirs; site windows and machine guards; collection and separation chambers; and manifolds.
TECANAT is made from SABIC Lexan healthcare grade resin that complies with and can be certified to FDA regulations 21CFR177.1580. Biocompatibility has been assessed according to both ISO10993 and USP Class VI. Certified healthcare grade products are also subject to formula lock and a very stringent management of change process. TECANAT is compatible for gamma and E-beam sterilization and offers limited autoclave exposure (1-10 cycles @ 121°C).
