Rexroth's VisualMotion Introduces Powerful Open Motion/Machine Control Solution for High Performance Applications
With a modular system concept, open controls structure and internationally standardized interfaces, the Rexroth VisualMotion provides solutions for all automation architectures, from single axis to complex multi-axis applications.
VisualMotion open control and intelligent drive system from Bosch Rexroth's Electric Drives and Controls division ensures shorter changeover time for machinery and promises higher accuracy during the process. Precision servo drives replace rigid mechanical elements such as gears, shafts and cams to simplify the machine design, improve product quality and product yield, and increase reliability. Product or process changes can be made electronically.
VisualMotion software runs on the Rexroth PPC, a versatile, hardware platform, promoting effective dialog between hardware and software solutions from different manufacturers. The openness of the automation system makes it appropriate for all areas of production, from individual machines to interlinked production plants.
VisualMotion's modular Windows-based control software synchronizes up to 32 servo axes. The control communicates via worldwide standard communication interfaces, including SERCOS, Ethernet TCP/IP, PROFIBUS-DP, DeviceNet, INTERBUS, ControlNet and RS232/RS485, making it easy to integrate the system solution, both in new machine designs and in upgrades to existing plants.
