The Rexroth IndraLogic family of PLCs and PACs now includes the high-performance IndraControl L65 PAC with scalable hardware, flexible connectivity for integration in Ethernet-based networks, and a fast processor for shorter machine cycle times.

Ideal for general automation, printing, converting, packaging, machine tool and other industries, the IEC-compliant IndraControl L65 features 36 megabytes of program memory for extensive multitasking and running multiple device profiles. With a 1-GHz Intel Celeron M processor, the L65 provides outstanding performance for motion-logic applications with the highest demands. To save memory space and help improve scan time, Rexroth's L65 PAC also incorporates reusable code, reducing scan rate by 50 percent versus comparable PACs currently on the market.
To save valuable engineering time, the IndraControl L65 comes with dozens of PLCopen machine functions that are pre-programmed according to IEC61131-3 standards. Rexroth also offers scalable hardware allowing machine builders to re-use programs from other Rexroth PLCs and PACs without requiring different configurations or multiple versions. In addition, all Rexroth PLCs and PACs, including the IndraControl L65 can be programmed with the same Rexroth IndraWorks unified software program for seamless engineering, alleviating the need for a separate program for each PLC or PAC model across the family.
With real-time Ethernet onboard and built-in connectivity for networks ranging from Devicenet to Profinet, the L65 gives users the benefit of having one standard controller with flexible options to integrate into a variety of networks.
Rexroth's IndraControl L65 is also designed for scalability, helping engineers save costs on hardware. The unit comes with eight onboard I/O slots with expandability for up to 512 I/O on more complex machines. Function modules are also easy to add as needed.
Other features include one gigabyte of flash memory to store program data, back-up programs and program documentation, and an integrated display for settings and diagnostics. The L65 is also a powerful motion controller, with the ability to do 64 axes of motion control.
