M-ClReal Presents 2007 Kemiart Forerunner Award to Veuve icquot Ponsardin and Its Packaging Supplier, Seyfert Champagne

The Kemiart Forerunner 2007 Award has been presented by M-real Consumer Packaging to the French champagne producer, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin (VCP) and its supplier, Seyfert Packaging Champagne. The prize was awarded for VCP's two different corrugated packages, one of which is for six CellarBoxes containing champagne bottles and the other is for is for a set of a champagne bottle and cooler. Kemiart Ultra is used as the surface liner in both of these packages.

"It is essential for VCP that the packaging used to display our rare vintage champagnes in retail stores convey all properties of the brand - luxury, quality and innovation," says Fabien Gaudard, R&D Manager Champagne of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin.

By choosing Kemiart Ultra as a surface liner, VCP achieved optimal print results, the correct brand color shades, and a metallic surface effect resembling the sheen of its aluminum CellarBox. Seyfert used its ED Seytec corrugated structure, which provides an even print result and excellent box strength. With Kemiart Ultra it was easy to achieve the desired print result on time and within budget.

Now for the seventh time, the annual Kemiart Forerunner Award is presented to companies in the industry that have created innovative brand packaging using M-real's Kemiart coated liners. To qualify for the Kemiart Forerunner Award, a company must develop new end-use applications for coated liners or create packaging designs that add value to branded products. Award-winning companies are those that recognize the power of packaging and the importance of combining an effective graphic message with accurate color shade control.
