New Low Voltage Signal Conditioner Ideal When Line Power Is Unavailable
Pennsauken, NJ, January 10, 2002. Macro Sensors, a manufacturer of innovative linear and rotary position sensors, and related instrumentation, introduces a new Low Voltage LVDT Signal Conditioner ideal for operation in industrial applications where space and power sources are limited.
Operating from 24 to 30V DC low voltage power, the LVC-2401 LVDT Signal Conditioner works in factory locations where line power in not available. Designed for use in both OEM and industrial system installations, this low cost signal conditioner provides a user-selectable low noise ±7.5V DC voltage output or 4-20 mA current output. Users can also choose an LVDT excitation frequency of 2.5, 5 or 10Hz and can utilize course gain adjustment to permit LVC-2401 operation with virtually any LVDT or RVDT.
The LVC-2401 offers improved signal processing over its predecessor, the LVC-2400. Compact in size at just 4.01" wide x 2.95" high, all internal components of the LVC-2401 are mounted on a single circuit board that is fully enclosed in a tough polymide housing. The DIN rail mountable housing easily integrates with PLCs, timers, circuit breakers and other DIN rail mounted modules.
The low cost LVDT Signal Conditioner also supports multi-channel applications by permitting the synchronization of all unit oscillators within a system. Units are rated for operation over a temperature range of 0° F to +160°F and display a temperature coefficient of sensitivity of <0.1%/°F/FSO. Pricing for the LVC-2401 begins at $265 per unit, with quantity discounts.
