Luxaire® Brand of Johnson Controls Donates New Comfort Systems to Willingboro, New Jersey, Police K-9 Association
Luxaire distributor and local Luxaire contractor provide HVAC equipment and installation services at no charge
MILWAUKEE – (April 24, 2018) – The Willingboro, New Jersey, K-9 Unit is more comfortable now thanks to the recent installation of two new Luxaire® heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems from Johnson Controls. Luxaire distributor American Air Distributing, Inc., West Chester, Pennsylvania, donated two systems—one for the offices and conference area and a second system for the K-9 kennels—and Luxaire contractor A&M Heating and Cooling, Marlton, New Jersey, installed the systems free of charge.
The new comfort systems, which include two Luxaire TC4B LX Series 14 SEER air-conditioning systems and two Luxaire TG9S Climasure™ Series 95.5% AFUE gas furnaces, replace aging equipment that sustained water damage two years ago and were deemed nonfunctional and beyond repair during a recent inspection. Limited resources at the police department make the donation of time, skills, equipment and materials critical to the successful and continued operation of the K-9 unit.
“The exceptional men and women who work at the Willingboro Police K-9 Unit put their lives on the line for us every day,” said Tom Frank, vice president of sales and marketing at American Air. “We are thrilled to be able to help them by donating the equipment and materials necessary to ensure a more comfortable environment for the officers and their canine partners.”
Michael Lippincott, owner of A&M Heating and Cooling and a Willingboro police officer agrees, adding, “I know from personal experience the important services the K-9 unit provides the Willingboro community, making it particularly rewarding for me to be able to offer the services of my company to remedy what has long been an uncomfortable situation. It’s nice to be in a position where we can provide a long-term solution to the problem.”
In addition to improved comfort, the new systems will use less energy than the previous systems and contribute to lower operating costs. Owners of the LX Series 14 SEER air conditioner can expect to save up to 29 cents per dollar compared to an older 10 SEER unit. Additionally, the Luxaire TG9S Climasure gas furnace cuts fuel costs nearly 35 percent compared to old models.
