Metrolux Introduces VillageMaster(TM) - High-Efficiency Outdoor Area Lighting

New Product: VG VillageMaster(TM) Series-Family of period styled, high-efficiency outdoor area and roadway luminaires.

Design: Metrolux Lighting In-House Product Design, & Engineering Team.

Manufacturer: Metrolux, a JJI Lighting Group Company.

Product Applications: VillageMaster luminaires provide the evenly distributed, glare-free, high-efficiency illumination of a contemporary outdoor fixture with the visual stimulating classically detailed shape of a historical design.

The VillageMaster family is ideal for use in neighborhoods undertaking modern-day upscale community-based urban renewal projects, or where lighting design specifiers want to add a nostalgic touch to a wide range of municipal streets and parks, outdoor themed venues, corporate campuses retail sites and the like.

Product Description: VillageMaster luminaires are characterized by a richly detailed, large-scale acorn shaped metal housing that echoes timeless designs from the early 20th Century.

The housing has an integral metal ballast housing across the metal shade, with an ornamental center finial on top. The lower edge of the shade has a raised metal lip to deflect moisture and airborne debris from striking the glass or acrylic lenses.

The interior of the one-piece rotatable reflector assembly inside the shade has a chemically brightened clear anodized surface with 288 computer enhanced facets that maximize output from a choice of vertically oriented MH, MHP or HPS lamp options that deliver an effective projected light area (EPA) of 2.8 square feet. The facets diffuse emitted light to reduce harmful, distracting glare while redirecting light away from the lamp's arc tube. This prevents lamp voltage from exceeding manufacturer tolerances for assured safety and long operating life.

Lensing comprises dropped acrylic, convex or flat glass. The dropped lens captures light as it is emitted from the fixture, for softer lighting effects complementary to the vintage aesthetic of the design.

A range of internal light control shielding and louver options are available to meet "dark sky" regulations or preferences, and to eliminate bothersome light trespass without resorting to unsightly add-on external attachments.

VillageMaster fixtures have an integral slipfitter for mounting on a 2-3/8-inch tenon and can be specified for single or dual post-top mounting.

Construction & Finishes: The VillageMaster housing is constructed from durable, lightweight spun aluminum construction, with a thick one-piece spun aluminum reflector assembly and cast aluminum ballast housing.

Textured polyester powder-coat is electrostatically applied, following a five step pre-treatment process that includes an iron phosphate priming stage for maximum coating adhesion. Paint finishes meet or exceed all ASTM requirements for a 1,000-hour salt-spray test.
