LUKOIL Selected Burckhardt Compression for Refinery Upgrade

Russia's largest oil company, LUKOIL, has chosen Burckhardt Compression due to their extensive expertise in the dry-running technology to deliver three Process Gas Compressors for their refinery upgrade.
Burckhardt Compression recorded an order from LUKOIL in Moskau, Russia, to deliver three Process Gas Compressors for their refinery upgrade project in Volgograd, Russia. The compressors will be used as hydrogen make-up compressors in the diesel fuel hydrofining unit.
This specific process requires knowledge in the dry-running technology and experience for the operating conditions as well as high reliability and availability for the equipment offered.
The company's Process Gas Compressors that are well known in the market are manufactured according to API 618 5th edition including the latest state-of-the-art technology. Burckhardt Compression is GOST-R and Rostechnadzor certified which was important to secure this order.
Delivery of the compressors will take place in mid-2011. The compressors are scheduled to be in operation by the end of 2011.
The biggest refinery in the southern part of Russia is currently LUKOIL-Volgograd. The Volgograd refinery's plans include a further increase in productive capacity and higher quality of the petroleum products.
