UNIST Improves Programmable Control For mini-Roller(TM)

Grand Rapids, MI: UNIST, Inc. has recently begun to market the SPR-2000-JR Programmable Lubrication Station as the standard supply system for all of its mini-Roller(TM) coil stock lubrication units. Designed to meet customer need for a unit which can fit into smaller press windows, the mini-Roller is UNIST's scaled down version of the uni-Roller(TM). The internally fed mini-Roller delivers precise, uniform fluid coverage to any stock width under 4" with the same accuracy provided by UNIST's larger units. Until recently, the mini-Roller utilized a remote mounted piston pump, which cycled using a signal from an adjustable counter that counted the rotation of the rollers (UNIST, Inc. will continue to support customers who have purchased this style system, however, they will no longer be made available for new purchases). The SPR-2000-JR controller, when used with the mini-Roller, allows the operator to control fluid thickness, increase production speed, reduce maintenance, and eliminate any need for fluid reclamation.

The SPR-2000-JR was developed as a lower cost alternative for companies who wish to utilize the benefits of programmable fluid control, yet do not require as many fluid outputs as UNIST's larger systems. The SPR-2000-JR also gives the operator the ability to save jobs to memory (allowing any 1 of up to 250 jobs to be called when the job is needed). The SPR-2000-JR will now become the standard supply system for all mini-Roller applications. Its ease of set up coupled with less maintenance and more opportunities for control will create significant advantages for new and existing UNIST customers.

The mini-Roller, with the SPR-2000-JR Programmable Lubrication Station, is one of the Micro-Fluidization products UNIST will feature on March 21-23 in booth 1300 at the Metalform Nashville Exposition. Metalform is "North America's most focused stamping and fabricating exhibition and conference," and is hosted by the PMA (Precision Metalforming Association).

Formed in 1957, Unist, Inc. is the leader in the manufacturing of fluid delivery systems designed to reduce fluid consumption costs while improving operational efficiency, safety, and maintenance.
