Low-Pitch Terminal Strip conserves PCB real estate.

Press Release Summary:

Razor Beam(TM) .0315 in. pitch High Speed/High Density Hermaphroditic Strip (LSEM Series) comes in right-angle and vertical orientations for parallel, perpendicular, and coplanar applications. Pitch, row-to-row, and profile aspects conserve PCB real estate on X, Y, and Z axes. Optimized for speed, blade-and-beam style contacts also offer undercut retention notches for increased withdrawal force. Self-mating solution, with 20-50 contacts per row, offers choice of lead styles.

Original Press Release:

New High Speed 0,8mm Pitch Razor Beam(TM) Strip Saves PCB Real Estate

Samtec has recently introduced its versatile new Razor Beam(TM) 0,8mm (.0315") pitch High Speed/High Density Hermaphroditic Strip (LSEM Series) available in right angle and vertical orientations for parallel, perpendicular, and coplanar applications. Samtec's family of high speed Razor Beam(TM) interfaces are designed to save PCB real estate on the X, Y, and Z axis with ultra-fine pitch, slim row-to-row, low profile designs.

The system's cost-effective blade-and-beam style Razor Beam(TM) contacts are designed for high speed, but are also ideal for rugged applications with undercut retention notches that increase withdrawal force and produce and audible click when the contacts engage. In addition the self-mating design can help reduce inventory costs.

These new 0,8mm (0315") pitch Razor Beam(TM) strips are available in right angle or vertical orientations, with 20 to 50 contacts per row, and a choice of lead styles. They offer mated height variety and flexibility with arrange of heights from 6mm to 12mm. This new system is also RoHS compliant and Lead-free solderable.

In addition to the LSEM Series 0,8mm (.315") pitch strip, the Razor Beam(TM) family also includes high performance hermaphroditic interfaces in 0,635 (.025") pitch (LSS Series) and 0,5mm (.0197") pitch (LSHM Series) designs for parallel, perpendicular, and coplanar applications. The LSHM Series also features optional shielding for EMI protection.
