Low Noise Amplifier presents 2.1 dB noise figure.

Press Release Summary:

Supplied in RoHS-compliant, 3 x 3 mm QFN plastic SMT package, 6–11 GHz CMD186P3 offers 2.1 dB noise figure, delivers >18 dB of gain, and has corresponding output 1 dB compression point of +16.5 dBm. Product requires single +5 V supply at 78 mA, and 50Ã‚Â Ω matched design does not require any external components aside from nominal bypass capacitors. Applications include microwave radios and C- and X-band applications as well as point-to-point radios and phased-array radar.

Original Press Release:

6 to 11 GHz Low Noise Amplifier Offers 2.1 dB Noise Figure

Westford, MA – Custom MMIC, (www.CustomMMIC.com), a developer of performance-driven monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), is adding a new 6 – 11 GHz low noise amplifier to their growing line of high quality products. The CMD186P3 presents an ultra-low noise figure of 2.1 dB, delivers greater than 18 dB of gain, and has a corresponding output 1 dB compression point of +16.5 dBm.

The CMD186P3, which is housed in a RoHS-compliant, 3x3 mm QFN plastic surface mount package, requires a single supply voltage of +5 V at 78 mA. Ideal of microwave radios and C- and X-band applications where small size and low power consumption are needed, the CMD186P3 is also suitable for point-to-point radios and phased-array radar applications. The 50 ohm matched design of the CMD186P3 amplifier does not require any external components aside from the usual bypass capacitors.
