Larson Electronics Releases High Performance 90 Watt Low Bay LED Light with DLC Approval

Kemp, TX — Larson Electronics has announced the release of a new low bay LED light fixture designed to provide output comparable to 400 watt Metal Halide lamps combined with higher reliability and durability. The GAU-LB-600 90 Watt Low Bay LED Light is efficient and powerful enough to replace metal halide low bays and offers better durability and longevity in a more compact housing design.

The GAU-LB-600 90 watt low bay LED light from Larson Electronics provides operators with a compact, powerful, and efficient alternative to hot running metal halide low bay lighting. This compact LED light produces 5,000 lumens of light output in a wide flood pattern from only 90 watts and features 30 LEDs paired with specially designed specular optics which allows it to illuminate an area comparable in size to that illuminated by a 400 watt metal halide lamp. Because this low bay light utilizes LEDs instead of common incandescent of HID bulbs, it has no ballast or large reflector assemblies, allowing a more lightweight and compact design as well as Design Lights Consortium approval. This fixture also produces little heat, helping to reduce temperatures in work places where many lights may used in unison. The housing on this low bay light is constructed from light weight aluminum and a polycarbonate lens assembly provides a shatterproof barrier against damage to the LEDs. The housing is a specially finned design to help provide effective heat management, and a tough powder coat finish provides an attractive appearance and effective protection against corrosion. This fixture is also fully water and weatherproof, making it suitable for outdoor and wet area use and resistant to the effects of damp and humid conditions. This light is designed to run with standard 110-277 VAC current, and a simple pigtail harness provides easy and straightforward connection during installation. Mounting is provided by an adjustable stainless steel powder coated bracket and stainless steel screws that allows secure placement on flat surfaces and easy positioning. The GAU-LB-600 90 watt low bay LED light provides an ideal alternative to metal halide low bay lights that offers instant-on operation with no warm up period, cooler operation, better efficiency, higher durability, and a long 50,000 hour operational life, making it a better choice performance and cost wise for applications where high reliability and the strength to stand up to demanding operating conditions is critical.

“The GAU-LB-600 LED low bay light fixture is designed for replacing fragile gas burning 400 watt metal halide fixtures,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics’ LarsonElectronics.com. “This metal halide alternative low bay LED light is highly durable, IP68 rated, and can withstand dust, dirt, dampness and extreme vibration. With a lower current draw, higher life hours, and DLC approval, the GAU-LB-600 is ideal for lowering energy consumption and maintenance hours for warehouses, parking garages, and any location that requires quality low bay lighting.“
