Lovejoy Takes on Underserved Industry at Show

Lovejoy, Inc. - Exhibiting cutting-edge gear and grid couplings At 11th Biennial Movable Bridge Symposium

(Downers Grove, IL) October 12, 2006 - Lovejoy, Inc will showcase its highly innovative, heavy duty gear and grid couplings at the 11th Biennial Movable Bridge Symposium in Orlando, FL. from November 6-9.

"We believe the industry is underserved," said Terrance Driscoll, Lovejoy's product manager. "Because Lovejoy is such a niche marketer, we know we're a good fit for this sector."

Lovejoy power transmission components are an industry staple for their cutting-edge design, dependability, and low maintenance. Gear couplings are no exception. They are more power-intensive, offer more modifications, and have a wider torque-bore range than any other type. Lovejoy gear couplings perform at extremely high speeds and have axial slide and low-speed high-torque capabilities - along with shifter, and spindle faculties not found in other couplings.

Continuous sleeve gear couplings are the most compact torque-transmitting device available. Heavy duty flanged series gear couplings feature a compact design, easy installation, and high torque density. Alloy steel flanged gear couplings feature heat-treated 4140 alloy steel construction for high-strength operating in demanding power transmission applications.

The grid coupling was first designed in 1919 and the innovation continues. Lovejoy's new line of grid couplings combines high-torque, high-horsepower operation with vibration, shock and misalignment capabilities - features that are unique to Lovejoy products. Ten standard model sizes incorporate advanced designs with high-tensile alloy grids that reduce vibration by as much as 30 percent and safeguard equipment by cushioning shock loads. All Lovejoy grid couplings are interchangeable with industry-standard hubs and grid springs.

Although Lovejoy produces and sells a full line of couplings (more types than any other manufacturer), the heavy duty gear and grid couplings featured at the symposium will be those that are applicable to large movable structures.

"We think people are going to be knocked out when they see what our products can do," Driscoll said. "The ground-breaking engineering, level of quality, and just the sheer capabilities are enough to sell even the most ardent skeptic."

In addition to a proven track record of performance, Lovejoy couplings are readily available. Lovejoy parts are delivered in quantity, on time.

Personal service, including consultation, is Lovejoy's core goal. To that end symposium visitors will be able to tap into the expertise of company representatives Kevin Remack and Doug Durham at booth number 23.
