Fine-tuned sound dampening, 40% weight drop and pan-and-tilt increase operation options
MARIETTA, GA - (http://www.myprgenie.com) - IMLCORP (www.imlcorp.com) has increased audio output power while reducing weight and size with the introduction of the new SOUNDCOMMANDER® SC5600 Acoustic Hailing Device (AHD) and loudspeaker system. The new SC5600 six-speaker array features improved optimized internal sound-dampening materials to protect the hearing of personnel standing alongside or behind the unit and upgraded amplifier electronics to increase sound output to the equivalent of seven speakers. Its new ruggedized aluminum housing cuts speaker weight by 40 percent, and it can be equipped with a new pan-and-tilt mechanism for improved sound direction. The new system will be easier to mount on military and police vehicles and on Navy, Coast Guard and merchant ships. The SOUNDCOMMANDER SC5600 complies with the provisions of MIL-STD 810F.

The new SC5600 six-speaker array head weighs only 44 lbs (20kg), down from 72 lbs (32.6kg) for previous SC3600 models. With its new 500-Watt amplifier, the SC5600 is capable of projecting a 145-dB RMS (continuous) output, broadcasting voice audio with the highest intellibility level. The SC5600's six-speaker arrays can be easily reconfigured into two horizontal 3-speaker arrays that can be deployed side-by-side or completely removed from each other for wide- area coverage in two directions. The lower profile makes the system less vulnerable to damage from attack when mounted on a vehicle or small boat. Loudspeaker arrays can be mounted on the included adjustable tripod equipment stand with or without pan-and-tilt or mounted on vehicles, helicopters or ships.
The integrated amplifier/control module includes a built-in three-tone siren, 15Ah internal 12VDC battery pack, power supply/charger, inputs for two external audio devices and a wireless device. The system can be powered from its internal battery pack, external 12VDC or 110/230 VAC. A 24VDC external power capability is optional. The system includes a push-to-talk microphone and other accessories.
