Lokring Achieves NSF 61. Certification for Potable Water Fittings

Lokring Technology LLC, a leading provider of advanced pipe and tubing connector products for global fluid and gas transfer markets, announced today it has attained NSF 61 and NSF 372 certification for its line of stainless steel “PW” fittings and the facilities that manufacture them.

Lokring has received NSF 61: Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects and NSF 372: Drinking Water System Components - Lead Content certification for its PW line of stainless steel fittings. Already ASME B31 code qualified for use on 316 SS piping, the addition of NSF certification means these fittings can now be safely used in potable water applications in full compliance to the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act.

“Lokring has always remained dedicated to the relentless pursuit of perfection in understanding and satisfying the industry’s fluid and gas connection requirements,” said Bill Lennon, President, Lokring Technology LLC. “Being able to offer a weldless solution that meets our customer’s needs for safe, healthy, and clean drinking water is an accomplishment we are extremely proud of.”

NSF 61 certification applies to the Lokring global manufacturing headquarters facility in Willoughby, OH. Certified products include the following configurations in 1/4” to 3” NPS and 1/4” to 2-1/2” tube sizes:
