London, United Kingdom - September 22, 2006 - LODESTAR Corporation announced today that it will have significant presence at the upcoming Metering, Billing, & CRM/CIS Show in Denmark. LODESTAR is a leading provider of energy software solutions, and serves over 125 clients globally. Two of its European clients - GasTerra B.V. and Luminus - will present case studies on their use of LODESTAR® software at the show.
On Wednesday, October 11th in the "Optimizing Billing and Revenue Processes" session, GasTerra B.V. will speak on "Implementing a Flexible Billing System for the High End Natural Gas Market." A leading European natural gas supplier, the company is using LODESTAR's billing application, BillingExpert®. Onno de Jong, Account Manager of Gas Sales at GasTerra B.V., will discuss the challenges the company faced in view of the liberalized market, and how BillingExpert met their requirements. Luminus, the second largest energy supplier in Belgium, will speak on "Pricing and Quoting for Retaining/Gaining Customers" on the same day in the "Gaining and Retaining Utility Customers" session. As a user of LODESTAR's PricingExpert®, Davy Verheyden will provide an overview of how the application enabled the company to retain and gain customers.
In addition to these presentations, LODESTAR's Chris Ing-Simmons, Director of Pre-Sales Europe, will participate in a vendor showcase. He will discuss "Addressing a Critical Business Challenge with LODESTAR® Meter Data Management(TM)" at this showcase, taking place Tuesday, October 10th at 14:40. Managing meter data efficiently is becoming more of a priority in this region as a result of a focus on reducing energy consumption driven by large price rises as well as environmental concerns. "Energy providers are seeking vendors with interval data experience," says Mr. Ing-Simmons. "Our product is the 3rd generation of our meter data management software, so we have three decades of experience managing interval data." The company will also host a welcome reception the evening of October 10th at 17:30 featuring a welcome address given by Julien Group's, Vice President and Managing Director Europe, LODESTAR. All conference attendees are invited to attend.
Finally, LODESTAR will feature various product demonstrations at booth 4.01, including those that address billing, pricing, meter data management, and load profiling with data integration. Representatives will be available at the booth to speak with attendees who are interested in learning more about LODESTAR's suite of products and international experience.
