Original Line Rod Lock Cylinder


July 3, 2002, Monee, Illinois - Bimba Manufacturing's Original Line Rod Lock cylinder incorporates a clamp/cam device to hold the piston rod in position upon loss of air pressure. Its simple and effective design provides a low-cost, reliable locking cylinder. Holding forces range from 40 pounds in a 3/4" bore cylinder, to 700 pounds in the 3" bore. The OL Rod Lock is available in six bore sizes, 3/4" through 3", with the same stroke length flexibility as the Original Line. This innovation is the first low cost alternative to bulky tie-rod style locking cylinders.

The Original Line Rod Lock is suitable for a wide range of applications. It is ideal for holding loads stationary at machine shutdown (drop prevention), as well as a failsafe device in counterbalance applications.
