New Home Locator Switch Offers Time Savings & Convenience
SYRACUSE, NY (Oct. 31, 2006) - Pass & Seymour/Legrand (P&S), a leading manufacturer of electrical wiring devices and home systems, today announced its new Home Locator Switch. A stylish update on a P&S favorite, the Home Locator Switch distinguishes a house by flashing the porch or garage light. This can save time and make a life-saving difference for paramedics responding to a 911 call. But the Home Locator Switch isn't just for emergencies.
"The Home Locator combines security with convenience. Party guests, delivery people and first-time visitors can easily spot a house when the Switch is activated," said Maria Del Amo-Lombardo, product manager for P&S. "It also works like a regular light switch and can be used every day."
A paddle switch allows residents to manually turn a porch or garage light on and off. A push button switch below the paddle activates the Home Locator, turning the light on and off automatically and continuously.
The most innovative feature is an energy-efficient LED indicator, which illuminates the push button in a green light for easy location in the dark. Once the button is pushed and the Home Locator activated, the LED becomes a flashing red light.
The Home Locator's sleek, stylish design complements the other devices in P&S's Decorator Switch family. The Switch is available in white, light almond and ivory.
