Columbia, Maryland (February 25, 2008)-Nemetschek North America announced today that A&A Co., Inc., its distribution partner in Japan, has released its localized version of VectorWorks 2008.

"VectorWorks 2008 offers many new capabilities our users have been eagerly awaiting, and we're looking forward to a big year ahead," says Kazuko Uchida, president and CEO of A&A.

Sean Flaherty, Nemetschek North America's CEO, traveled to Tokyo to celebrate the VectorWorks 2008 rollout with A&A and reported on a captivated crowd during the VectorWorks 2008 feature demonstration.

"Members of the press and more than 200 VectorWorks were among those who packed the room to see VectorWorks 2008 in action," said Flaherty. "We're pleased to see such enthusiasm for the new features and improvements we've been spent the last year developing for our users. In particular, the improved building information modeling capabilities (BIM) we've incorporated drew applause from the audience. Others included new CAD manager capabilities and improved 2D and 3D presentation features."

The English-language versions of the VectorWorks 2008 product line were released in the U.S., U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and other international markets on September 13, 2007. Other localized European versions followed in October.
