Load Balancers suit small- and medium-sized organizations.

Press Release Summary:

Both Link LB-550E and Link LB1100E Load Balancers aggregate different link speeds and types, providing scaleable and manageable large links that provide network resilience. Specific traffic can be sent down (or up) to specific links and instantly redirected during failure. Promoting throughput and continuous performance up to 99.999% via Layer-2 inline approach combined with LAN Failsafe feature, LB-550E and LB1100E, respectively, provide 2 and 4 links for throughputs of 30 and 60 Mbps.

Elfiq Launches New Link Load Balancers for Small and Medium Sized Organizations

Unique LAN Failsafe Feature Allows Users to Enjoy Improved Throughput and Continuous Performance of up to 99.999%

MONTREAL, March 25 -- Elfiq Networks, a growing leader in the development of innovative bandwidth management and network security solutions, today announced the launch of its new Link LB-550E and Link LB1100E Load Balancers that will aim to deliver a high degree of internet throughput and fast performance -- even when the unit's power goes down -- thanks to the LAN Failsafe feature included on all E-Series units.

"This level of redundancy is a first in an entry-level unit like the Elfiq LB550E -- and only our Layer-2 inline approach combined with our LAN Failsafe feature makes it possible," said Jean Pascal Hebert, Vice-President of Business Development for Elfiq Networks. "Small businesses now have the ability to ensure uptime and performance normally only available at the enterprise level which is associated to a much higher price tag that they cannot afford."

The Link LB-550E provides two links for a throughput of 30Mbps, and the LB1100E supports up to 4 links for 60Mbps, giving enterprise users increased bandwidth and outstanding internet performance even in failover due to human error, power failure, equipment damage, accidents, etc. Both units aggregate different link speeds and types including traditional connections such as DSL, cable, T1, and fiber, as well as alternative technologies such as 3G/4G mobile connections, satellite and WiMax. The units then provide cost-effective, scaleable and manageable large links that provide network resilience, releasing enterprises from the vulnerability of dependence on a single ISP and/or technology. Specific traffic can be sent down (or up) to specific links and be instantly redirected during a failure.

In addition to increased bandwidth, the LB-1100E features Elfiq's SitePathMPTX technology, which provides point-to-point link resilience for applications such as VPNs and VoIP, and offers further uptime assurance for multi-site enterprise environments. Power consumption is minimal with only 25W, making this unit an ideal candidate for green computing.

The Elfiq LB-550E and 1100E will be available for shipping this week. For further information on Elfiq Link Load Balancers, visit http://www.elfiq.com/.
