Contour Energy Systems Introduces Two New High-Performance Batteries

Azusa, Calif., – Contour Energy Systems, a next-generation battery company that’s reshaping the portable power industry, is proud to announce the production of two new high-performance nine-volt batteries that are on the leading edge of performance, and are highly cost-effective for consumers.

The lithium primary battery CR9V and the lithium primary battery 3CR14250 by Contour Energy Systems are both major upgrades to what’s currently on the market, as the six-year-old company continues to move the power industry forward.

The CR9V, perfect for smoke detectors, medical telemetry units, carbon monoxide detectors, garage door openers and electronic instruments, offers an extended time before a battery change is needed, with the battery possibly as much as 50 percent longer-lasting.You can’t purchase a 9v battery with more energy content than this product. With an electrical capacity of more than 1,300 milliamp hours, or as long as 7-10 years on the shelf.

Using advanced manufacturing tools and a new mechanical configuration, Contour’s CR9V is also perfect for use for customers using cordless microphones or guitars, or personal GPS units. It’s also a major benefit to older customers who would find the hassle of often changing batteries on smoke detectors physically challenging.

The other new battery, the 3CR14250, offers many advantages over other nine-volt alkaline batteries, with a 40 percent longer run-time (it has an electrical capacity of more than 800 milliamp hours), the capability to operate and be stored at colder temperatures (ranging from minus-40 degrees to zero Fahrenheit), and is as economical a nine-volt lithium battery as you can find. For example, if you live in a frigid winter climate and want to store your car in a garage, you’ll want an opener that’s reliable no matter what the temperature reading is.

“We feel the batteries are a significant new product for our customers in applications looking for a higher-performance nine-volt solution,” said Joe Carcone, Contour Energy’s VP of marketing and sales.
