Liquid/Solids Separators vibrate solids away.

Press Release Summary:

Liquatex(R) Separator uses vibratory motion produced by rotating eccentric weight at machine's center of gravity to remove solids from plant washdown wastewater, lint from laundry wastewater, and solids from cooking oil. Vertical component of motion accelerates breakdown of liquid surface tension, permitting uninterrupted flow of liquid through screen. Horizontal conveying component of motion provides fast discharge of removed solids off screen surface.

Liquatex(R) High-Capacity Liquid/Solids Separators Offer A Unique Design For Efficient, Easy Operation

CINCINNATI, OH (April 5, 2002) -The unique Liquatex(R) Separator motion provides the two essentials for efficient high-capacity liquid/solids separations through a unique vibratory motion that is produced by a rotating eccentric weight having a force line at the machine's center of gravity.

First, the strong vertical component of the Liquatex motion accelerates the breakdown of liquid surface tension, permitting uninterrupted flow of liquid through the screen. Second, the positive horizontal conveying component of the motion provides fast discharge of removed solids off the screen surface. Plus, motion is uniform over the entire screen area, so that incoming material is immediately and continuously subjected to full screening action at any point on the screen - without dead spots.

Liquatex Separators are the ideal solution for removing solids from plant washdown wastewater, lint from laundry wastewater, solids from cooking oil, for ore processing, and for other liquid/solid separation applications. Speed, slope, and stroke are easily adjusted for versatility and optimal separations. Screens can be quickly and easily changed without tools thanks to the patented Quick-Release clamp handle design.

All drive components are readily accessible for reduced downtime and maintenance costs. The cover, screen frame, and pan can be easily removed as a single assembly, exposing the entire drive for service and maintenance. Because the motor is stationary and not subjected to the screening motion, a standard foot-mounted motor is used for minimum cost and long service life. The four heavy-duty rubber mounts provide 90% dynamic isolation, allowing the machine to be installed in virtually any location without danger of transmitted motion.

The Liquatex Separator can handle capacities of up to 400 gallons per minute, and is available in a design to handle high temperatures for screening hot cooking oil. One and two deck models are available, as are optional weir boxes, liquid take-away boxes, and a ball mesh cleaning system, recommended for more difficult, near-size separations.

Liquatex Separators are manufactured of stainless steel and are designed to handle a wide variety of liquid/solids applications. The screen slope is adjustable for 0 deg - 6 deg. Screen size is 4' x 4' feet. Stroke amplitude is 1/8" - 1/4" and stroke frequency is 1150 rpm. The 1 1/2 hp motor has a speed of 1725 rpm.

ROTEX INC. engineers and manufactures a full line of screening equipment including ROTEX(R) Screeners and high capacity MEGATEX(TM) Screeners for particle size separation of grains, minerals, plastics and other dry solids; GRADEX(TM) Particle Size Analyzers; and LIQUATEX(R) Liquid/Solid Separators.
