Liquid Level Gage offers non-intrusive design.

Press Release Summary:

MagnaStar(TM) magnetic liquid level gage provides level readings while protecting operators from high pressure and/or high temperature fluids in tank, process vessel, or boiler. Gage chamber, an austenitic pipe spanning height of vessel, incorporates custom-weighted float magnetically coupled to indicator. Vertical position of float inside chamber corresponds to level of fluid within vessel. Two-color indicator is mounted on gage chamber but isolated from process fluid.

Get Safe, Accurate Liquid Level Readings Even at High Pressure and/or Temperatures

The advanced non-intrusive design of the new MagnaStar(TM) magnetic liquid level gage provides accurate level readings while protecting operators from high pressure and/or high temperature fluids in a tank, process vessel or boiler. Exceptionally rugged, the design also minimizes operating costs by eliminating downtime due to leaks or required maintenance. Further, a MagnaStar(TM) gage has no glass tube to replace or
multiple gaskets to maintain.

The gage utilizes separate gage chamber and indicator components. The gage chamber, an austenitic pipe spanning the height of the vessel, incorporates a custom-weighted float magnetically coupled to the indicator. The vertical position of the float inside the gage chamber corresponds exactly to the level of fluid within the vessel.

The two-color indicator, easily read from a distance, is mounted on the gage chamber but completely isolated from the process fluid. The indicator magnetically locks onto the position of the float inside the sealed gage chamber. It moves up and down as the position of the float changes. This provides an accurate real-time indication of the liquid level inside the tank. To further ensure accurate level readings regardless of vibration or shock, the indicator is magnetically stabilized.

Standard gage chamber construction is nominal Schedule 40 316 stainless steel pipe. However, if the application requires it, models based on other austenitic metals or polymers are also available. Additional options include point-level switches, continuous level transmitter, insulation jackets, frost-free extension, calibrated scales, interface indications and corrosion-resistant linings.
