Wide Process Window Lead-Free Compatible Liquid Flux

Industry, Calif. - July 24, 2003..... Henkel Loctite Corporation has introduced new Multicore MF200, a lead-free compatible liquid flux that has been optimized for high yields at typical lead-free wave soldering temperatures.

No-clean, resin free, and halide free, Multicore MF200 is suitable for Sn/Pb type processes, and offers excellent wetting on a wide range of surface finishes. This product has been formulated to significantly minimize the incidence of mid-pad solder balling.

Optimized for wave soldering in air, Multicore MF200 is formulated for use in a wide range of PCB assembly applications including dual wave soldering where sustained activity is required. Process windows can be extended with nitrogen. Typical end use applications include automotive, telecommunications, consumer products, and computer assemblies including mother boards and back planes. Multicore MF200 is classified as ORMO (J-STD 004) and meets or exceeds the Bellcore GR-78-CORE tests for electromigration.
