High Activity Voc-Free No-Clean Liquid Flux for Reduced Solder-Balling Defects



Industry, Calif. - October 23, 2003.... Henkel Loctite Corporation has introduced new Loctite® Multicore® MF300, a VOC-free, no-clean liquid flux that is designed to reduce solder balling defects. The high activity flux is highly effective on low solderability surfaces such as oxidized copper.

Non-flammable and halide free, MF300 is a low residue flux that meets U.S. air quality legislation. Multicore MF300 can be used in conjunction with most commonly used surface preservative materials. This resin-free liquid flux passes stringent Bellcore electromigration and J-STD-004 surface insulation resistance tests without cleaning. MF300 also passes IPC-TM-650 copper mirror testing. The flux is suitable for foam or spray application.
