LinkShare Standardizes on Informatica PowerCenter 8

Creates extensible data integration foundation for new services and business

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Dec. 5 - Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ:INFA), a leading provider of data integration software, today announced that LinkShare Corporation, the premier pay-per-action affiliate marketing, search and lead generation network, has upgraded its enterprise data integration platform to Informatica PowerCenter 8 to help power continued rapid business growth and the introduction of new services.

LinkShare has relied on Informatica PowerCenter since 2000 to help deliver detailed intelligence to merchants and affiliates that analyzes the success of their marketing campaigns -- a process that involves aggregating data across more than 500 data sources and handling more than 300 million transactions per day. The move to PowerCenter 8 is enabling LinkShare to leverage a distributed grid computing architecture to bring more cost-effective scalability and enhanced reliability to this business-critical process, while gaining the high performance necessary to accommodate its fast-growing data volumes. LinkShare will also leverage PowerCenter 8 to help implement new data-driven Web services to help better serve customers and expand its business.

"You always want 'bigger, better, faster,' and Informatica has definitely been able to provide that for us," said Dave Ramos, director of business intelligence and analytics at LinkShare. "Without Informatica, we wouldn't be successful -- it's as simple as that. It would be like trying to dig out from an avalanche with a shovel."
