Linerless Automotive Wire Harness Tape



Windsor, Connecticut - July 16, 2003. Scapa Automotive has introduced SoundGard(TM) 3510, a linerless, non-woven polyester tape coated with a rubber-based adhesive. Designed to minimize unwanted rattles and noise, the product is ideal for sound dampening in automotive wire harness applications, and is a versatile and cost-effective alternative to standard foams and felts.

This environmentally friendly, zero-halogen product has no liner and may be torn by hand for easy application. It provides good fluid and abrasion resistance and has excellent aging characteristics for consistent long-term performance.

Available in 9, 15, 19 and 25 mm widths, SoundGard 3510 is just 0.55 mm thick yet dampens sound in vehicles by up to 12.5 dB. Providing temperature resistance up to 125°C, this thermal class 3 product is also ideal for electrical cable insulation.
