Bimba Extruded Linear Thruster


April 29, 2002 Monee, Illinois - Bimba Manufacturing Company introduces a unitized-body version of the Linear Thruster. The Extruded Linear Thruster is a 32mm bore unit that incorporates cylinder bore, switch mounting tracks, and guide shafts in one clean, space-efficient package.

The Extruded Thruster incorporates stainless steel guide shafts and composite bushings, making it ideal for corrosive or wash-down environments. The Thruster body and tooling plate are anodized aluminum. Both smooth motion and heavy-duty load carrying characterize the bushing/guide shaft combination in the Extruded Thruster. The unit can withstand static side loading up to 520 pounds (60 pounds dynamic).

Optional shock absorbers for high-energy applications are available, as well as dowel holes for precision mounting. Stroke lengths are available up to ten inches in length.
