ANADIGICS Announces New Power Amplifier for AWS and KPCS CDMA/EVDO Mobile Equipment

New AWT6309 PA Delivers the Efficiency, Linearity and Footprint Required for AWS and KPCS CDMA/EVDO Wireless Handsets

WARREN, N.J., April 1, 2008 /-- ANADIGICS, Inc. (NASDAQ:ANAD), today announced its new AWT6309 linear power amplifier (PA) designed specifically for use in CDMA wireless handsets and data devices that operate in 1.7GHz bands. The new PA is designed to be compatible with Qualcomm CDMA2000(TM) and EVDO(TM) chipsets.

The newest member of ANADIGICS family of HELP2(TM) CDMA Power Amplifiers, the AWT6309 reduces average current consumption as much as 50%, compared to conventional two-stage amplifiers. The new amplifier's power saving feature is the result of ANADIGICS' proprietary designs and unique InGaP-Plus(TM) technology. This state-of-the-art semiconductor process integrates switches and amplifier components onto the same die thus enabling creative new architectures and solutions for product designers and engineers. Measuring 3.0mm x 3.0mm with a height of 1.0mm, the AWT6309 enables designers to create ultra slim and compact products. In addition, the new PA also integrates an internal voltage regulator that eliminates the need for external voltage regulators.

"Our company continues to expand its portfolio of compact, high efficiency PA products to meet the increasing demand for advanced 3G wireless communications worldwide," said Ali Khatibzadeh, Ph.D., Senior Vice President and General Manager of Wireless Products, ANADIGICS, Inc. "With the introduction of the AWT6309 power amplifier, ANADIGICS is prepared for the expansion of CDMA services in the AWS band here in the U.S. and in the KPCS band in Korea."

Specific features of ANADIGICS' new AWT6309 include:
-- High Efficiency:
-- 41% @ +28 dBm output
-- 22% @ +17 dBm output
-- Low Quiescent Current: 14mA
-- Low Leakage Current in Shutdown Mode: <1 microamps
