Original Press Release:

Linear Positioning Module is Fast and Accurate

A new line of linear positioning modules for accurate mechanical adjustment and positioning applications is being introduced by mk Automation, Inc. Typical applications include the adjustment, alignment and precision location of measurement and test equipment, material handling, factory automation, labeling and packaging machinery or gauging systems for metal fabrication and woodworking machinery (ex; Press brakes, shears, saws, etc.) The standard modules may be use singly, in pairs or multiple installations to suit application and motion needs.

mk Automation, Inc. bases the supporting beams of the two basic sizes offered on specially reworked and hard coated (for low friction and long life) mk structural aluminum profiles. Two standard size units are based on: # 1 -- profile size, mk 2015 (50 x 50mm) with 100 x 80mm carriage plate moved by an internal trapezoidal spindle (16 x 4) with spindle load capacity of 500n. #2 - profile size 2011 (100 x 100mm) with 150 x 130mm carriage plate moved by an internal trapezoidal spindle (20 x 4) with spindle load capacity of 1000n. All spindles are protected from contaminants by polyamide cover plates. Units are offered with standard hand wheel movement or various motor-driven options. Units may include optional scale systems in metric or Englislh notation for accuracy in fast, repeat adjustment settings.

mk® Automation, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high quality modular aluminum profile systems. The selection encompasses over 270 distinct profile shapes in four series, as well as over 2700 different assembly components.

Using it's modular profile system as the platform mk® also offers a broad line-up of conveyor automation, linear motion and material handling solutions for diverse manufacturinig situations.
