The Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies division of Bosch
Rexroth Corporation has introduced a new product in its family of linear motion systems - the STAR Linear Motion Slide with Toothed Belt Drive.
The new slide features a steel-reinforced, polyurethane belt drive system for speeds up to 5 meters/second (200 inches/second) with a repeatability of ±0.1 mm (±.004 inches). An external gear reducer is available to provide optimum matching of motor and load inertias.
The STAR Linear Motion Slide is guided by four Super Linear Bushings that run on two hardened steel shafts. This arrangement provides significant load-carrying capacity and a long service life. The bushings are lubricated from a single point, which simplifies maintenance.
Like all Bosch Rexroth linear motion products, the Linear Motion Slide is available with accessories such as mechanical switches, proximity switches, cable duct and a wiring socket.
