THK Introduces Completely Oil-Free, Solid Lubrication System LM Guide
Schaumburg, IL - (September 5, 2006) THK's new Solid Lubrication System S-Coating Series LM Guide offers completely oil-free operation. The S-Coating Series is suitable for use from atmospheric pressure to a vacuum of 10-6 Pa.
The solid lubricant used with this LM guide is highly adhesive and wear resistant. THK achieves these properties by applying the film via a unique deposition method specially suited for THK's original circular arc contact structure.
The simple structure of the S-Coating Series offers a reduction in overall costs compared to using conventional linear guides with vacuum application.
