Agathon Linear Guide Elements Offer Precision Alignment for Medical Applications

Bethel, CT April 2, 2004...To better serve the medical equipment and device OEMs, AGATHON precision linear guide elements operate with zero clearance between components, (versus typical slide bushing or recirculating ball component assemblies), resulting in improved alignment between moving parts. When assembled, AGATHON guide elements consisting of guide pins, bushings and ball cages operate under a preload, or slight interference condition and offer short stroke, backlash free operation for precision linear motion capability required in injection molds, blister packaging dies, contact lens and precision optics machinery, CT scanners and fluid metering devices. Guide pillar diameters are available from 3-63 mm.
