SKF® 'Speedi-Roll' Linear Guidance System Ideal For High-Speed Applications

The SKF® Speedi-Roll linear guidance system is ideally suited for applications requiring long strokes and/or high speeds. Typical applications for this lightweight cam roller type rail guide system include equipment used for automation, pick-and-place, and robotics operations; packaging; material handling; vending; and countless others where fast and precise linear guidance is required.

The Speedi-Roll (Type LLE) system offers high load-carrying capacity, rigidity, and torque resistance and is engineered to operate effortlessly and quietly. Speeds up to 10m/sec can be achieved (permitting shorter cycle times). Three sizes (LLE 15, 25, and 35) are available in a variety of dimensions.

The unit's machinable aluminum guide rail (fitted with hardened steel raceways) can be modified easily and cost-effectively to satisfy unique prototype or application needs. An aluminum carriage incorporates either four or six precision V-shaped steel rollers. The aluminum combined with hollow centers in the rails (sizes 25 and 35) contribute to an overall lightweight package.

Rollers feature unique elastic elements around the threaded bolt used to mount the rollers in the base plate, which reduces the risk of improper mounting. Rollers are lubricated for life and the low friction between rollers and rail minimizes power requirements to drive the system.

Customized Speedi-Roll configurations can be developed using standard roller and steel angle raceways to meet particular application requirements.
