Long Range Gage Sensor
Addison, IL March 1, 2002 Ono Sokki Technology, Inc. introduces the GS-1000 linear gage sensor. This gage was designed to measure dimensions, thickness, curvature, eccentricity, displacement, height, depth, flatness, variation, run-out, roundness, distortion, deflection, and also used for load and pressure inspection applications.
This gage sensor uses the proven linear glass scale technology. The main advantage of this principle is that you can maintain high consistent accuracy and super sensitivity throughout the entire range.
The GS-1000 performs highly accurate measurements to 0.0005" throughout it's full 4.0 inch measuring range along with a fast response speed of 39.4'/second.
The carbon graphite spindle permits heavy lateral loading or side impact force. This is important because, typically the longer the measuring probe, the more it's susceptible to being damaged from side impact. Because of it's durability not only can you use this sensor in rugged bench top environments, but inline production applications as well.
The adoption of the ball spline bearings in the spindle has resulted in increased torsional rigidity (10 times as much as our conventional one) and of durability (practical durability of more than 10 million times) of the spindle.
This gage sensor comes with standard threads for Interchanging contact points. A variety of contact points are available, from nylon, steel, sapphire ball tips, spherical, small and large diameter flats, needle and roller contact points.
The GS-1000 comes equipped with a 6 foot signal cable that can be directly connected to an array of display units with various outputs for interfacing to your PC or Data logging systems. If your application requires more than a six foot cable length, you may easily add an extension cable up to 100 feet.
