AMO Corporation Introduces New IP67-Rated LMB-410 Spar Linear Encoder at IMTS - The International Manufacturing Technology Show 2010

Folsom, CA . . . AMO Corporation announces the introduction of the new IP67-rated LMB-410 Spar Linear Encoder. The LMB-410 Spar Linear Encoder will be spotlighted at IMTS - The International Manufacturing Technology Show 2010 being held at Chicago's McCormick Place September 13-18. AMO Corporation can be found in Booth #E-5220 in the Quality Assurance Pavilion, which is located in the Lakeside Center(East) Building.

The LMB-410 provides robust IP-67 rated measuring/position feedback with performance equal to a linear optical encoder. Operating on an inductive scanning principle, the LMB-410 is ideal for use on general purpose machines including machine tools, medical equipment, printing equipment and aerospace/military applications. The IP67 rating makes it ideal for contaminated or dirty conditions including being fluid submersible.

The adhesive-free mounting spar with a snap cover does away with concerns associated with adhesive-backed spars becoming loose in oily environments. The encoder head is equipped with wipers to clean spar scale during operation. Encoder head auto offset and gain compensation eliminate the need to use a test box during setup.

Rated for operation ranging from -40 to +120 ° C for any measuring length ± 5 micron/meter linearity, it also meets high speed, high shock and vibration specifications.
