Linear Bearings are immune to contamination.

Press Release Summary:

MONORACE(TM) linear bearings carry payloads ranging from 50-5,000 lb over 4.0 m or more, are built from extruded steel, and are contamination tolerant. Bearing-rail interface compensates for mild rail misalignments, allowing use on low precision surfaces such as welded steel frames, sheet metal housings, and aluminum extrusion based frames. Able to be sized for any application, bearings come in 18, 28, and 43 mm wide and with standard or extended sliders.

New MONORACE(TM) Linear Bearing Offers Manufactures High Load Capacity, Long Life, and Immunity to Contamination

Fort Mill, SC, MAY 22, 2006 - Designed for manufacturers of Transportation, Packaging, Material Handling, and similar equipment, the MONORACE(TM) linear bearing family offers the ability to carry payloads ranging from 50 lbs to 5000 lbs over distances up to and exceeding 4.0 meters. Built from extruded steel, the MONORACE is very robust and ideal for medium precision linear motion applications. The unique bearing-rail interface is able to compensate for mild rail misalignments, allowing use on low precision surfaces such as welded steel frames, sheet metal housings, and aluminum extrusion based frames. Further the MONORACE is tolerant of contamination and works well in dusty, gritty, or otherwise dirty environments.

Available in 3 basic rail sizes: 18mm, 28mm, and 43mm wide and with standard or extended Sliders, MONORACE systems can be sized to fit the application. Rails are available up to 4.0 meters long and can be spliced together for longer travels.

The unique alignment compensation ability of the MONORACE system allows manufacturers to install the MONORACE on low precision surfaces and not suffer from mechanical binding. Manufactures can avoid the cost and time of precision machining rail seats in their machine.
