New 0.9° Size 17 Linear Actuators


HSI is proud to announce that its size 17 hybrid linear actuators are now available with a 0.9° step angle. This new step angle is designed for higher resolution and allows for a full step linear movement of 0.00006" (1.5 microns). Like the 1.8° version this actuator is available in all four designs; captive, non-captive, external linear, and linear rotary.

The complete product line has resolutions ranging from 0.00006" to 0.002" per step, with operational thrust capabilities of up to 50 lbs. These linear actuators are ideal for applications requiring a combination of precise positioning, rapid motion and long life. Sold at the same price as the 1.8° motors, they are unique and priced very aggressively for popular applications such as X-Y tables, medical equipment, semiconductor handling, telecommunication equipment, valve control, and many more. In addition to the standard configurations, HSI can customize these motors to meet your specific applications.
