Linde to Demonstrate Latent Fingerprint Development System at Forensics Conference

Mississauga, Canada – Linde Canada Limited will be exhibiting its ADROIT™ FC 300 latent fingerprint development system at the International Association of Identification (IAI) 98th Annual International Educational Conference on "Navigating the Waves of Forensics." The conference will be held at the Rhode Island Conference Center in Providence on August 4-6, 2013.

The ADROIT is a flexible tool designed with both the forensic investigator and research scientist in mind.  It is a dry process, capable of developing latent prints on a wide range of porous, semi-porous and non porous materials using a range of detection chemicals. The programmed recipe control lends itself to standardized practices, ensuring precision while eliminating the complexities and potential inaccuracies associated with mixing and applying solvent carriers.

Calvin Knaggs, Linde Canada technology marketing manager who developed the ADROIT, will be on hand throughout the symposium to discuss its effectiveness. "This is truly a step change in fingerprint development technology, eliminating many of the storage, safety and environmental problems associated with the current art," Knaggs said.

The first generation model is currently undergoing testing by the US Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL) in Atlanta. The USACIL is a World class facility at the forefront of battlefield forensics with a leading Science and Technology Program collaborating with other laboratories and researchers, law enforcement, academia and industry to develop state of the art protocols in scientific investigation.
