Linde Outlines Plans for Next-Generation LNG Fleet Fueling Technology at LNG 17 Conference

Houston, TX and Murray Hill and New Providence, N.J. – Linde North America today announced that it has completed development of a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) station design that will be installed at a Linde production facility in Indiana later this year.  Details of the new station design will be discussed by Jonathan Harris, Merchant LNG technology manager for Linde's Energy Solutions division at the upcoming 17th International Conference & Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG 17).

The new LNG station uses patent-pending technology and an integrated design that offers exceptional performance and important advantages compared to existing stations. It is compact, modular to minimize installation time and costs, and is scalable as fleet needs expand. The station is designed to eliminate station boil-off gas by using novel applications of on-the-fly saturation and LIN-assist cryogenic cooling techniques.

Harris commented, "In January the President called for greater use of LNG-fueled vehicles as an important element in building a successful long-term US economy. We couldn't agree more, and Linde's new station design is the latest in a series of initiatives we are implementing to facilitate broader adoption of LNG to fuel vehicles, oil and gas drilling and completion equipment and marine vessels. We intend to continue to escalate our commitment to making it easy, safe and economical for fleets to switch to LNG fuel."

Linde will install the new station design at its facility in Springville, Indiana, where it will serve Linde's LNG – fueled truck fleet there. The new station system will soon be commercially available and the Indiana facility will allow potential customers to observe its performance first-hand. Linde has already built and deployed the first of these units overseas.

Harris' presentation is part of the Natural Gas Vehicles for America (NGVAmerica) session at LNG17 scheduled for Friday, 19 th April, at 10:00 a.m. LNG 17 will take place April 16-19 in Houston, Texas. For more information, visit: http://www.lng17.org/.
