Lincoln Electric Selected as Welding Equipment Supplier of HGTV's New Series White Room Challenge

Designers compete for cash by giving an all-white room a one-of-a-kind makeover

Cleveland - Expect white-hot competition to heat up the television on HGTV's newest series, White Room Challenge. The show premiered on Tuesday, April 24, and airs each Tuesday at 9 PM ET/PT.

On White Room Challenge, up-and-coming designers compete for a $10,000 cash prize as they transform an all-white room into a unique, eye-catching living space, using such unusual elements as candy, fresh-cut flowers and old musical instruments.

White Room Challenge is co-hosted by Jamie Durie, an award-winning landscape designer and host of HGTV's Green Home 2010 and The Outdoor Room with Jamie Durie, and David Bromstad, winner of the first season of HGTV's Design Star.

The show's producers chose Lincoln Electric as its exclusive provider of welding equipment and personal protection gear. The company provided a variety of products for the show, including a POWER MIG® 140C, VIKING 3350 Series helmets and a collection of Red Line(TM) Welding Apparel and personal protection equipment.

"Lincoln Electric's partnership with the team at White Room Challenge is a good match," said Greg Coleman, Group Leader, Marketing Communications at Lincoln Electric. "Each competing designer is provided with access to top tools and fabricators, allowing them to focus on the creative process. The result can be some exciting works using found objects, reclaimed metals and other materials. We're pleased to show how our equipment can be used in this environment, in addition to the many DIY and industrial segments we service around the world."
