Product Applications: The Stingray DRS System provides increased
light output while dramatically reducing energy consumption across a range of commercial, industrial and retail building interiors. These include manufacturing facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, "big box" retail stores and home centers,
showrooms, sports arenas, convention centers, airplane hangers and the like.
In almost all cases, less energy-efficient high-bay lighting fixtures can be replaced or retrofitted with lower-wattage, more economical patented Stingray DRS assemblies - without changing either fixture placement or mounting heights, and without compromising light levels.
Product Description: The Stingray DRS System has inner and outer
reflectors that adjust independent of one another, allowing light output to be customized to suit specific applications.
An easy-to-use sliding mechanism raises and lowers the inner reflector. This provides precise vertical placement via a scale relative to the lamp. The outer reflector is adjustable via spring-loaded plungers. A numbered scale ensures consistent adjustment.
The acrylic prismatic outer reflector presents a bold, contemporary design aesthetic, while minimizing wasted light and distracting glare. A cutout at the top of the collar for the outer reflector allows uplight to be emitted for balanced illumination, while allowing heat to escape.
Construction & Finishes: Stingray DRS System is designed and
built for a long operating life. The housing is heavy-gauge die-cast aluminum. The domed outer reflector may be specified in a choice of opaque spun aluminum, transparent high-impact polycarbonate, or prismatic acrylic, in 16-inch through 25-inch sizes. The specially shaped alumilnutm inner reflector is available in a range of specular and semi-specular finishes.
The unit overall has a self-cleaning, ventilated design that reduces contaminant build-up and enhances long-term optical performance. Stingray DRS fixtures can be specified to accommodate longlife metal halide, high-pressure sodium, or induction light sources, with wattage choices from 100 to 1000. Routine maintenance is minimal, while electrical efficiency and lamplife remain high. In retrofit installations, existing ballasts may be reused where feasible, if more light is required without energy savings. To save energy Stingray can supply a reduced wattage ballast for quiet, reliable operation. All DRS fixtures are UL listed for both dry and damp locations.
