SYRACUSE, NY July 3, 2002- Cooper Crouse-Hinds® recently introduced its Exactra(TM) Series factory-sealed lighting panelboards for hazardous-area lighting load distribution applications. These panelboards can be used in indoor and outdoor areas made harmful by the presence of flammable gases and vapors and combustible dusts.
"We prewired these panelboards to maximum circuit capacity and ratings and equipped them with standard off-the-shelf breakers for quick and easy installation and maintenance," said Mike O'Neill product manager.
The Exactra Series factory-sealed panelboards can be used for branch power distribution and circuit protection. The panelboards are offered in either an LP1 or LP2 model for Class I, Division 1 or 2 hazardous locations respectively.
Exactra panelboards are available with up to six GFI and/or EPD branch breaker spaces within the same panel.
Exactra panelboards are fully wired from the circuit breaker housing to pre-numbered terminals in the wiring compartment. They're available with ambient compensated breakers throughout the panelboard and with HID breakers for HID lighting loads in Groups C&D only.
Each Exactra panelboard, including the operating handles and circuit breaker operators, is cast in a copper-free aluminum case and sealed with a neoprene gasket and is especially designed for indoor and outdoor applications. The operating shafts, cover bolts, washers GFI/EDP plungers and hinges are made of stainless steel. The lifting bracket is constructed of cold rolled steel and the "breaker chassis" is copper.
With Lighting Service(TM) delivery, quantities of one to five Exactra panelboards can ship within three weeks by just asking your distributor to write "Lightning Service" on the order form. For larger quantities, please consult with the factory for a more specific lead time.
