Light Suppressor eliminates interference between sensors.

Press Release Summary:

A²LS identifies incoming ambient light as interfering signal and makes distinction between its own sensor signal and potential source of interference. Whenever it detects interfering signal near its own phase and frequency range, A²LS will automatically change its own signal phase and frequency to accommodate. Technology also reduces effects of mutual interference (cross-talk) between sensors.

Leuze Lumiflex : A²LS Technology; Active Ambient Light Supression

Leuze Lumiflex introduces a new state of the art technology to eliminate Interference between sensors due to spurious light sources. The A²LS technology identifies incoming ambient light (regardless of its source) as an interfering signal. It then makes a clear distinction between its own sensor signal and the potential source of interference. Whenever it detects an interfering signal near its own phase and frequency range the A²LS sensor will automatically and actively change its own signal phase and frequency to accommodate. This new technology also substantially reduces the effects of mutual interference (cross-talk) between sensors. This new A²LS technology now gives Leuze Lumiflex opto-sensors the ability to actively respond to ambient light and thus give the highest degree of interference insensitivity.
