Rugged New Floor-Mount Light Screen Enclosures Provide Economical Long-Range Access and Perimeter Guarding Solutions
Minneapolis, MN-September 6, 2002-Banner Engineering Corp. has announced the addition of new heavy-duty floor-mountable enclosures for their EZ-SCREEN(TM) point and grid model sensors and mirrors for guarding areas up to 70 m (230'). These enclosures are unique as they provide a permanent mounted alternative with additional protection over freestanding floorstands for long-range perimeter and access guarding applications using the Banner EZ-SCREEN system. The enclosure housings are constructed of impact resistant extruded aluminum with a highly visible and durable safety yellow powder coat finish. Twelve different enclosure models are available: five that house the Banner EZ-SCREEN point and grid emitters and receivers, five with corner mirrors that enable perimeter guarding along more than one side of an area using only one light screen emitter and receiver pair, and two with 45° angled mirrors for access guarding applications.
Especially significant is the ease-of-installation that the enclosures provide. Featuring an anodized aluminum top plate with an integrated circular bubble level, a unique mounting base with three leveling screws, and rotational adjustment capabilities of up to 20°, the system is designed to be set up quickly and efficiently in otherwise challenging factory floor environments. Units with mirrors have three adjusting screws per each mirror, which are independent of the housing to optimize and simplify beam alignment. Mirrors are high-efficiency front surface mirrors, which makes this system perfect for long-range perimeter or access guarding applications. Models are available to comply with ANSI/RIA 15.06 and EN 999 beam spacing standards for operator safety and perimeter guarding.
Banner EZ-SCREEN enclosures are available in heights from 1238 mm to 1543 mm (48.75" to 60.75"), with two, three or four windows and are an economical way to guard large areas with just one emitter and receiver pair. Enclosures are available for all 36 cabled and quick-disconnect EZ-SCREEN emitter and receiver pairs. Pricing for the enclosures begins at $465.00.
