Low Energy, Tack-Free Light Curing Adhesives
Rocky Hill, Conn. - July 20, 2004.... Henkel Corporation has introduced two new low-energy, tack-free Loctite light cure adhesives specifically formulated for plastic and metal/glass bonding.
Loctite 3944(TM) is a single component, medium viscosity light cure acrylic adhesive primarily designed for bonding a variety of plastic substrates that require a tough, flexible bond. This fluorescent, low-odor product obtains a tack-free surface in less than 30 seconds using a low intensity metal halide light source. The adhesive's flexibility enhances the load bearing and shock absorption abilities of the bond area. Offering exceptional bond strength to polycarbonate, Loctite 3944(TM) also provides excellent adhesion to a variety of other substrates, including glass, PVC, and ABS.
Loctite 3526(TM) is a single component acrylic adhesive that cures rapidly when exposed to UV/visible light or heat to form a tough, flexible bond. A secondary heat cure system allows the product to cure in shadowed areas. This colorless adhesive is extremely versatile for bonding, sealing or potting applications, and can be used on a wide range of substrates, particularly glass and metal.
