Updated Electric Standdrive(TM) Counterbalanced Lift Truck Offers Improved Serviceability and State-Of-The Art Design
Greenville, N.C. - (August 8, 2002) -Hyster Company's updated E30-40HSD three-wheel Electric StandDrive(TM) Counterbalanced lift truck, available in 3000-, 3500- and 4000-pound capacities, features state-of-the-art motor control and electronic technology designed to maintain excellent service and reliability.
More specifically, design updates have allowed for instant operator access to electrical apparatus, lift pump, drive motors and power steering assembly. The top and front service panels are made of lightweight ABS plastic designed to snap up and back, giving operators easy and quick access to all regular service points.
A premium dash with new instrument panel also improves serviceability by displaying battery charge information and extended diagnosis and fault codes. This panel can also monitor hours in-use for each driver by allowing password access to the truck, and gives the operator control of traction modes.
Operator control is also improved when steering, as the new Ultima(TM) Control Handle allows for intuitive movement and simultaneous travel, hoist and one auxiliary function. The handle
works in conjunction with the operator display for set-up of traction and hydraulic functions and is controlled via software for smooth transitions between moves. Braking, even in an
emergency, is controlled by the software system that forces the truck to stop by gradually reducing torque.
